About the Block Dominoes leaderboard
This board ranks the fastest completed games of Block Dominoes by finish time. Block Dominoes strips the game to its purest form: seven tiles each, one line, and no boneyard rescue - a game rated Simple & pure where about 50/50 - pip counting decides the blocked games. The current top time here is 0:15 by RAFAI.
How ranking works
- Only completed (won) games count, and every result is checked for a plausible time and move count before it's listed.
- Ties break toward fewer moves, rewarding efficient counting as well as speed.
- Signed-in players keep a permanent name on the board and sync records across devices; guests can still post a display name.
- Switch between Today, This Week, This Month and All Time above to see recent form or lifetime bests.
What counts as a good Block time?
Times vary a lot by player and by shuffle, but here's a rough guide to aim for:
| Just learning | Winning at all is the win - don't watch the clock yet. |
|---|---|
| Casual player | A comfortable, unhurried game, usually a few minutes. |
| Getting good | Quick, confident placements with almost no wasted draws. |
| Speed runner | Single hands in under a minute - clean, decisive counting. |
The fastest way to climb this board isn't frantic clicking - it's making fewer, smarter plays so the clock barely moves while you count.

Leaderboard FAQ
How does the dominoes leaderboard work?
It ranks completed (won) games by finish time. Every result is checked for a plausible time and move count before it is listed, and ties break toward fewer moves.
What counts as a good dominoes time?
It varies by game. A single hand of Draw or Block can be won in a minute or two; a full race to 100 in All Fives usually takes several minutes of careful counting.
Do I need an account to appear on the leaderboard?
No. Guests can post a display name. A free account keeps a permanent name and syncs your records across devices.
Can I compare times fairly?
Yes - play the daily challenge, where everyone gets the identical shuffle, so times are directly comparable.
