Do I need an account to play?

Playing as a guest

What signing in adds
An optional Google sign-in does two things: it syncs your stats across every device you use, and it keeps a permanent name on the leaderboard and daily boards. If you play on both a laptop and a phone, that's the reason to sign in - a match recorded on one shows up on the other.
Your data stays yours
Guest stats never leave your browser, and playing requires no personal information at all. The flip side is that clearing your browser data erases guest records, which is the main practical reason some players choose to sign in - as our stats answer explains in detail.
